Are you a dedicated and passionate Registered Nurse looking to make a significant impact in the field of forensic mental health? We are seeking talented individuals to join our multidisciplinary team in the Community Forensic Mental Health Service (CFMHS).
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist/Case Manager, you will work collaboratively within a professional and experienced team, providing high-quality mental health care to complex forensic clients. You will be a clinical expert and a vital resource for nursing, medical, and allied health staff, ensuring that we deliver the best possible outcomes for our consumers and stakeholders.
The Role:The Clinical Nurse Specialist – Community Forensic Mental Health Services (CFMHS) works as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality forensic mental health services and in accordance with the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan, Mental Health Service principles, National Mental Health Standards, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies. The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CFMHS) will:
Be a clinical expert in the area of mental health nursing practice and act as a clinical resource for nursing, medical and allied health staff in the management of consumers with complex mental health needs.Provide specialist liaison and consultation about mental health matters and management of associated problems to Adult Community Mental Health Services and Non-Government Agencies to ensure best possible outcomes for consumers and relevant stakeholders.Why Join Us?Work in a supportive and passionate multidisciplinary team who are open to innovative ideas and strategies to enhance service delivery and client care.Experience in forensics is not required, and there will be opportunities to engage in professional development targeted to our specialised area including the opportunity to undertake postgraduate study in Forensic Mental Health (scholarships may be offered).Make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals facing complex mental health challenges while learning invaluable skills that will improve career opportunities.Offices in both Launceston and Hobart.You will be a part of a small and highly specialised and supportive team.Flexible workplace arrangements that are family friendly.Details of Appointment:Permanent day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or fixed term full time, part time and casual vacancies.
Salary: $103,466 - $109,165 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
RN: Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available.
Correctional allowance of 6.5%Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification typeSalary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023 Minimum Requirements:Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and possess, or be working towards, specialist tertiary graduate or postgraduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification; or completed prior to the transfer of nurse education to the tertiary sector, a hospital-based training program that resulted in previous registration as a psychiatric nurse by the relevant nurse registration authority within Australia, New Zealand or the United Kingdom.Current Driver's Licence.How to Apply: Apply Online.
