You would be working within a multidisciplinary team to provide developmentally appropriate treatment with children, young people, and their families.Our Aim:CYMHS North West aims to provide timely access to evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment for children and young people (and their family/carers) who are struggling/experiencing difficulties with their mental health that is negatively impacting on them and their engagement in school, with peers and/or other aspects of their lives.Your Role and the CYMHS North West Team:Be part of a dynamic and well-supported team committed to delivering high-quality mental health services to children, young people and their families/carers.Undertake clinical services through the provision of assessment, case management, and individual therapies, including the development and implementation of specialised treatment programs.Work with an amazing and diverse group of clinicians as part of the collaborative multidisciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required.Supervision, peer support and ongoing professional learning are part of the culture of the CYMHS NW Community Team.Consult and liaise with the broader health system including GPs and other Agencies to optimise service effectiveness, efficiency and continuity of care.Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.The Area:CYMHS NW Community Team has offices based in Burnie and Devonport.The North West Coast is an area of Tasmania where you have easy access to a multitude of beautiful beaches, bushwalks and other recreational activities spread across the small cities and townships that make up this region.CYMHS in Tasmania is undergoing Reform with the exciting development and implementation of new teams working across the state to improve the mental health outcomes of young people and their support systems. Relocation support is available for successful candidates.Details of Appointment:Permanent, full-time, day worker positions working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time and part-time vacancies.Location:Child & Youth Mental Health Services – North WestSalary: $103,466 - $109,165 per annum + 11.5% superannuationSalary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023.In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type.Multidisciplinary allowance may also apply.Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum.Eligibility:Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and possess specialist tertiary graduate or post graduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification; or completed, prior to the transfer of nurse education to the tertiary sector, an accredited hospital-based program that leads to registration as a psychiatric nurse by the relevant nurse regulatory authority within Australia, New Zealand, Canada or the United Kingdom.Current Working with Children Registration.Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:Current Driver's Licence.Holds or is working towards tertiary qualifications in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Care.The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer.
