Clinical Nurse Specialist | Buller at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Te Tai o Poutini West Coast, Buller and Northern Areas Permanent, part-time position Clinical Nurse specialist working 0.8FTE (32 hours per week) based with our team in Buller 3-5 years of experience in Cardiology field with clinical expertise is preferred Have obtained or working towards a post-graduate diploma in a relevant field. Excellent case and time management skills are key to this role. Mo te tunga | About the role Triaging referrals for Cardiac patients Assessing, planning, and monitoring patients undergoing Cardiology interventions Working closely with the Respiratory CNS to support the service and to coordinate health promotion programmes to the wider community Collaborating with Cardiac specialists and other related specialties across the West Coast and Canterbury regions Learning and sharing knowledge about symptom management Facilitating telehealth sessions with patients and specialists. Conducting community-based follow-ups with patients Providing education to colleagues, families, and whanau Providing support, education, and training to community facilities caring for this group of patients This is an excellent role for a current RN wanting to step up into a CNS role or a CNS wanting to make a change into a different specialty. This role will be focused on providing excellent Cardiac care to our patients from across the West Coast. We are looking for a clinical role model who can educate peers, patients, and their whanau.

Advanced nursing assessment skills in providing consultative specialist respiratory and cardiac advice Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Role models and promotes excellence in nursing practice and clinical leadership Committed to maintaining high standards of care and improved patient outcomes.
