The Moranbah Community Health Centre is seeking applications for a Clinical Nurse (School Based Youth Health Nurse) to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity To support and enhance the capacity of state schools with secondary students to develop structures and environments that promote the health and wellbeing of young people and to provide secondary school aged young people with access to primary health care service within the school. The Clinical Nurse provides advanced level clinical skills to ensure client-focused evidence-based nursing care. You will plan and coordinate the clinical management of client care and provide leadership and support to other nursing staff within the Child, Youth and Family Heath Unit. The School Based Youth Health Nurse position predominantly works within the High school environment during term times and forms a close relationship with the Education sector. About the Team The Moranbah Health Service is located in the Isaac Regional Shire in the town of Moranbah, approximately 200km south-west from Mackay, a journey which takes approximately 2½ hours.
The Moranbah Health Service consists of Moranbah Hospital, Community and Allied Health, Mental Health and AODS services and the Glenden Primary Health Care Centre. The Moranbah Hospital has a 12-bed acute inpatient facility and an emergency service. In addition, specialist outpatients, medical imaging (x-ray and ultrasound), a range of Telehealth services and ambulatory care, including mental health, allied health, community and child health services are provided through these health facilities.
About our Hospital and Health Service Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
