There are two positions available, based in Charters Towers.About your opportunity:The role of the Clinical Nurse within Charters Towers Rehabilitation Unit is to assist in the coordination of care within a collaborative multidisciplinary recovery framework; provide mental health nursing practice consistent with the philosophy, goals and objectives of the mental health service, to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care.The Clinical Nurse will contribute to the provision of evidence-based and contemporary recovery-focused mental health care to a group of consumers who are experiencing debilitating mental illness, including co-morbidities such as substance misuse and chronic disease, while providing residential rehabilitation support to promote recovery that is reflective of State and National requirements.Role Requirements:Proof of qualification (Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent), registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.Highly Desirable:Credentialed status (or willingness to undertake and complete the requirements) with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses.Possession of or working towards a relevant post-registration and/or tertiary qualifications in mental health nursing.While not mandatory, eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) under the Mental Health Act 2016.Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.Probation period may apply.Pre-employment checks will be conducted.Interested?Contact: Dan Ay on (07) 4787 5***.Apply ONLINE by: Thursday 24 October 2024.
