About us:Mount Morgan MPHS is a rural service 40 kms from the main referring centre of Rockhampton. It is an integrated service within a modern building servicing a total of 20 inpatient beds: 10 Acute and 10 Residential, 2 Emergency resus bays and multiple consultation rooms. It provides a wide range of services including visiting services such as Podiatry, Dietitian, Optometrist and Dental. Our other services can be located in the role description.

About the role:The Clinical Nurse is a member of the multidisciplinary team based at Mount Morgan MPHS. The Clinical Nurse provides frontline expert clinical care as well as expert guidance and education to other team members in the context of a busy rural environment. The role plays a key leadership function within the team, co-ordinating shifts, patient allocation and managing emergent issues. The Clinical Nurse holds responsibility for a quality and safety portfolio as determined by the Nurse Unit Manager and or Director of Nursing.
About you:Mandatory qualification/s: Current registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: While not mandatory, a relevant postgraduate certificate or postgraduate diploma would be highly desirable. Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion within an agreed timeframe will form part of their performance and development plan.
