This is a pool forpermanent and fixed term appointments to various CAMHS ServiceAreas. AboutOur Team:
The Child andAdolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in WesternAustralia offer support, advice and treatment to children andadolescents from birth to 18 years who are experiencing mentalhealth challenges.
Aboutthe Role:
As a Clinical Nurse, youwill provide comprehensive and evidence-based nursing care topatients as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will deliverindividualized care using a problem-orientated approach, and act asan advocate for patients, consumers, and other members of thehealth care team to achieve health goals.
As a ClinicalNurse with CAMHS, you will coordinate team activities, supervise,and act as a resource for nursing staff in the assessment ofpatients, and development and implementation of careplans.
Whatyou will bring: Preferably 3 or moreyears of experience as a Registered Mental Health Nurse,applicants with differing work and lived experience may also beconsidered Experience working withchildren and adolescents is also preferred Demonstrated ability tosupervise others, and provide clinical knowledge to enablestaff in delivering quality patient care A keeninterest to upskill your clinical and leadershipskills Registration as aRegistered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia isrequired.

Provide anexample that best demonstrates your leadership skill inyour area of specialty. Your example can be related toquality improvement, mentoring of staff, managingcaseloads, or running clinics or groups. (EssentialCriteria 5) A copyof your current CV outlining your most recent and relevant workexperience. Evidenceof current registration by the Nursing and Midwifery Board ofAustralia. (Essential criteria 1) Providethe names and email contact details of two professionalreferees, they should be a current or recent previous(within the last 2 years) Line Manager. Specialist Services and DayPrograms – The Specialist Services and DayPrograms consists of Complex Attention and HyperactivityDisorder Service, Multisystemic Therapy, Pathways andTouchstone. These programs support children and young peoplewho have complex mental health needs. Acute CAMHS – Acute CAMHS, based atPerth Children's Hospital has a mental health inpatientunit (Ward 5A), Paediatric Psychiatric Inpatient In-Reach Team(PPIRT), Eating Disorder Service and Gender DiversityService.
