Applies advanced nursing/midwifery knowledge, skills, attributes, and abilities within a specified area of clinical practice in therapeutic and professional relationships with individuals, as well as with families, groups, and communities.
The clinician will take a lead role in a multidisciplinary team utilising prior extensive experience in a mental health inpatient setting to conduct a range of assessments and provide therapeutic interventions and education on mental health issues to staff, clients, and family members. The role requires a strong cultural safety framework, a commitment to evidence-based practice, and experience working within a clinical mental health leadership role.
Key duties and responsibilities Provide comprehensive, safe, and effective evidence-based nursing/midwifery care to achieve identified individual/group health outcomes. Provide leadership and care coordination across a shift and act as a resource to other members of staff within a designated portfolio e.g. education, NSQHS Standard. Accountable for the planning, provision, and communication of nursing/midwifery care, including the evaluation and required revision of practice. Demonstrate NTH values - safe; responsive; kind – in all decision-making and interactions with consumers and colleagues.
