Your opportunity The position will be based in Mackay as part of the Acute Care Team.
The position will provide intake/triage, assessment, and crisis management functions as part of the Mackay Division of Mental Health Acute Care Team.
The position will work a varied roster 7 days a week with RDO accrual.
The position works all shifts (morning, afternoon, and night).The position provides a competent standard of clinical care through the provision of specialist triage/intake, assessment, and short-term crisis care services to persons who suffer from a mental disorder within the Mackay Integrated Mental Health Network.The Clinical Nurse provides clinical skills to ensure patient, recovery-focused, and evidence-based care, plans and coordinates the clinical management of patient/client care within a multidisciplinary team within the Division of Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (AODS).About the Team The Acute Care Team is the first point of contact to public mental health services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Team will undertake triage and may facilitate the referral of the consumer to a more appropriate internal and/or external service such as a community mental health team, an alcohol and drug service, or primary health care.
