The Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton is seeking applications from motivated and experienced Clinical Nurses (Level 2) to work within our PACU unit within the Operating room complex in permanent, full-time or part-time.
Shifts are predominately Monday to Friday, but some weekend shifts may be required. On-call responsibilities are also a feature of this role.
Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton's perioperative services comprise five operating complexes, seven recovery bays and a central sterilising Unit.
The Theatre Complex provides pre- and post-operative recovery room care and specialised endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures.
Salary range: $54.21 - $58.08 (RN2) per hour plus superannuation and access to generous salary packaging of up to $15,900.
What you'll be doing: Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care.Demonstrating advanced clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care.Supporting the Nurse Unit Manager in implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision, along with staffing within budget requirements.Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth.About you: You will enjoy working in a busy and rewarding environment where you can become part of a team of professionals who take pride in providing the highest levels of patient care.
To be successful in this position, you will possess: Currently AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions).Demonstrated nursing experience within a perioperative setting or have transferable skills that can be developed with professional training.Excellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem-solving skills.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Demonstrated commitment to continued quality improvement and best practice principles.Be an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or have a perioperative ANMAC occupation code for sponsorship purposes.Applications close Wednesday 11th December 2024.
