An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse (Inpatients Unit Orthopaedics) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will Coordinate complex patient care and patient flow in collaboration with the multidisciplinary teamAct as a subject matter expert resource for unit staffCoordinate staff and resources to support a safe environment within defined allocation of resourcesAssist in the provision of educational training to other nursing staffAbout you To be successful in this position you will require:
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of AustraliaEvidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis BTuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be requiredDeclaration of serious discipline history must be disclosedCriminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)Base salary ranging from $54.44 - $58.30 per hourAbout Us The 28-bed Orthopaedic Inpatient Unit (IPU) provides care to scheduled and unscheduled orthopaedic patients. The unit works collaboratively with other units within the facility, including the Emergency Department, Operating Theatres, Trauma Service, Intensive Care Unit and the existing Surgical IPU's. There is a strong focus on a multidisciplinary team approach to deliver the highest of standards in evidence-based, patient centred care to support patient flow and meet the healthcare demands of the community.
The aim of the Orthopaedic IPU is to provide collaborative, expert orthopaedic healthcare for individual patients to achieve optimal outcomes.
