We operate 21 facilities from primary care in regional locations to highly specialised care at the main hospital.

About the opportunity: Position: Clinical Nurse
Vacancy: Permanent part-time, 56 hours per fortnight commencing January 2025
Location: Infectious Diseases Ward, Medical Service Group, Townsville University Hospital

Salary range: $54.44 to $58.30 p.h. (Nurse Grade 6 Band 1)4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading12.75% employer contribution to superannuationPlus Salary Sacrificing options may be availableRequirements: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field.Highly Desirable: Extensive experience with Infectious Diseases and a current Adult Life Support certificate.Adult Life Support certificate: Must be able to obtain and then maintain an annual competency in Advanced Life Support.Ongoing professional development relevant to the delivery of Infectious Diseases Services.Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster.The applicant ideally will have a working knowledge of a range of software packages used in the clinical and management environment, including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Access, Matrix, and Power Point.This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.Probation period may apply.Pre-employment checks will be conducted.Apply now if you want to help us shape the future of healthcare while enjoying a fulfilling work-life balance.
