Eligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Demonstrated commitment in the application of Primary Health Care Principles and a Community Development approach to practice. Demonstrated ability to work with Aboriginal people and cross-cultural groups. Demonstrated ability to function independently and as part of a multidisciplinary, multi-sectoral and interagency team. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Current C Class drivers Licence and an ability and willingness to travel including overnight stays away from home. Position Profile:
The primary responsibility of the Clinical Nurse is providing a high level of Primary Health Care to achieve the optimum state of health for individuals, families and communities.
This position manages the Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) portfolio, and Immunisation portfolio for Broome Community Health, and experience in both of these areas is essential/preferred.

The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at 76 select locations.
Eligible nurses and midwives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 in support over 12 months (WA Country Health Service - Country Nursing and Midwifery Incentive Program).

WACHS Kimberley is the most northern health region of WACHS.
The Kimberley region has approximately 200 Aboriginal communities, over 34 different Aboriginal language groups and 45 percent of the population are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
WACHS Kimberley consists of six hospitals, an inpatient mental health unit, three Community Directorates and a Corporate Office.
WACHS Kimberley provides hospital, community health, public health, remote area health, community aged care, and mental health services across the region through a dedicated team of medical, nursing, Aboriginal health, allied health, and support staff.
