Exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Educator to join the Department of Health!
The Role: Serves as a key member of the Mental Health Department leadership team, driving initiatives that align nursing practice with organizational priorities and mental health care standards.Promotes evidence-based best practice through targeted training sessions, workshops, and in-service education.Provides individualized support and mentorship to nursing staff to enhance clinical skills, critical thinking, and confidence in managing varying mental health conditions.Supports a culture of lifelong learning and reflection, encouraging nurses to pursue innovation and excellence in mental health care delivery.You will need: Demonstrated high level knowledge, skills and clinical experience and the ability to lead change in nursing practice through the principles of Practice Development.Highly developed conceptual and reasoning skills regarding the clinical frameworks and policies that foster interdisciplinary health care for patients and clients.Ability to apply facilitation skills and learning strategies in mental health, to further the development of a person centred culture and the implementation and evaluation of professional development, education and training activities.The Team: The Mental Health Inpatient Unit is located in the Royal Hobart Hospital, level 2 and 3K West. MHIU sits under the Mental Health Department (MHD) within the Statewide Mental Health Services' Acute Care Stream and supports adults with serious mental illness across multiple locations, serving southern Tasmania and those best suited to its services.
Details of appointment: Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $111,506 to $118,336 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023.You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
