The Role: The Clinical Nurse Educator with the portfolio of Children's and Adolescence is accountable for the design, implementation, assessment and evaluation of education programs and providing nursing expertise related to educational issues in meeting the strategic priorities of the Nursing and Midwifery workforce and the Organisation.
Leads safe and quality nursing care through the advancement of evidenced based nursing practice in an area of clinical and professional speciality utilising a lifelong learning and development framework.Plans, assesses, implements and comprehensively evaluates educational programs to ensure they align with the needs of the Organisation and nursing workforce.Works within a Practice Development framework that fosters research, the implementation of evidenced based knowledge and person-centred care.Applies high level professional and clinical expertise in collaboration with nursing, midwifery and multidisciplinary stakeholders to enact education and development strategies for nursing and midwifery practice and the Organisation.Works in accordance with the strategic direction of Hospitals South and the Organisations Nursing and Midwifery Strategic Framework.You will need: This position will hold the portfolio of Children's and Adolescence and be based at the Royal Hobart Hospital.Post Graduate Qualifications in Clinical Education and/or Teaching and Learning will be highly regarded.Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.
The Team: This position works as part of the dedicated Nursing and Midwifery education service for Hospitals South, holding a work portfolio of Children's and Adolescence. Forming part of Nursing and Midwifery professional services, the education service works in partnership with operational areas and education providers in the provision of learning and development opportunities in the delivery on excellence in healthcare for our patients, families and communities.
Details of appointment: Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working 64 hours per fortnight, commencing from January 2025 for a period of approximately twelve (12) months.

Salary: $111,506 - $118,336 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Services) Agreement 2023.You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
