Your Opportunity The Child and Youth Mental Health Service Eating Disorder Program is a community child and youth mental health service within Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Services Child and Youth Mental Health Service network.
The Eating Disorder Program provides specialist services for children, young people and their families up to 18 years of age, who have a primary diagnosis of an eating disorder.
The Eating Disorder Program takes a family and child-centred approach in working with children and adolescents with eating disorders and is committed to providing evidenced-based treatments.
The Eating Disorder Program provides a range of services in the greater Brisbane area and across Queensland including face to face treatment, telehealth assessment and treatment, online psycho-education for parents and carers, training and supervision for mental health and other clinicians.

The Eating Disorder Day Program is part of the CYMHS Eating Disorder Program continuum of care.
It provides an intensive community-based treatment for children and young people diagnosed with eating disorders, and their families, where clinic-based interventions have not succeeded, and inpatient treatment is not required.
The Eating Disorder Day Program provides evidenced-based treatments in an intensive format enhancing opportunity for recovery for the whole family.
The Eating Disorder Program is a multi-site Program and staff are required to move flexibly across sites to ensure equitable and sustainable services.

The Clinical Nurse role is based primarily in the Eating Disorder Day Program; however, as the Eating Disorder Program is a multi-site Program, staff are required to move flexibly across sites to ensure equitable and sustainable services.

The Clinical Nurse (CN) role provides advanced clinical and problem-solving skills, expert planning and coordination skills in the clinical management in the specialist area of eating disorders child and youth mental health service of patients with diagnosed eating disorders and supporting their families, ensuring quality standards are met.
This role works autonomously within the mental health team structure and is pivotal in the planning, managing and delivering of specialist nursing care.
The CN provides clinical leadership for professional and clinical practice, education and research.
The role supports management activities including portfolio responsibilities.
