About the opportunity:Position: Clinical Nurse - Diabetes Education
Vacancy: Fixed Term Temporary part-time, 16 hours per fortnight
Location: Townsville University Hospital

Requirements:Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
Nursing: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to commencement of clinical duties.
Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
Highly Desirable: Credentialed status (or willingness to undertake and complete the requirements) with the Australian Diabetes Educators Association.
Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.
Experience in the education and support of patients with diabetes is essential particularly in relation to the use of insulin pump, CGM devices and relevant software. This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
