About the role Brisbane Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse/Clinical Nurse to join our CSSD team on a full time basis. In this fast paced and varied environment you will utilise your excellent clinical skills and customer service skills to maintain the highest operational standards of the sterilisation service.
About us Set at the top of Wickham Terrace, Brisbane's busiest medical precinct, above the Roma Street Parklands in the heart of the CBD, Brisbane Private Hospital is an acute and rehabilitation hospital with 181 beds, 17 operating theatres and dedicated surgical, ICU and rehabilitation wards. Brisbane Private Hospital specialises in Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Spinal, ENT, Pain and Rehabilitation with additional specialties including Plastics, Urology, General Surgery, Gynaecology and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Brisbane Private Hospital also delivers a leading private drug and alcohol program, Damascus Health Services, from its dedicated drug and alcohol rehabilitation unit.
As a Clinical Nurse your responsibilities will include: Providing evidenced based nursing careProviding clinical expertise and depth to the plastics theatre teamsLiaising with the multidisciplinary teamEnsuring patient and staff safetyEnsuring eLearning and mandatory training is completed on a regular basisLiaising with surgeons regarding equipmentMinimum 5 years acute hospital experience as a Registered/Clinical NurseClinical experience in a perioperative environmentCurrent Registration with AHPRACommitment to Quality Patient CareSound clinical decision making and problem solving skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsWorks well independently and within a teamSound knowledge of AS/NZ 4187 2014Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentationExperience with tracking systemsWhy Healthscope?
