Your opportunity The Clinical Nurse Consultant is accountable at an advanced practice level for the coordination of clinical practice delivered within Community Nursing Service including Child and Family Health Service, Child Protection Liaison Officer, and Complex discharge planning.
About the Team The Whitsunday Region is one of the fastest-growing areas in the MHHS.
The region is serviced by two hospitals (Bowen and Proserpine), two Community Health Centres (Bowen and Cannonvale), and one Multipurpose Health Service (MPHS) at Collinsville.
The Whitsunday Region makes up the northern end of the MHHS.
The Whitsunday Region has an estimated resident population (ESP) of 35,050 (Whitsunday Region Community Profile, Whitsunday Regional Council, March 2020).
The Whitsunday Regional Council predicts the annual growth rate to be 2.3 percent over the next 20 years.
There has also been a significant increase in obesity in recent years with its associated effect on health and lifestyle.
