About the Role The Urology Nurse Consultant (CNC) is a key member of the multidisciplinary team.
Working closely with the urology unit, other St Vincent's hospital staff as well as with other Urology Nurses from St. Vincent's and from other institutions with the aim of delivering the highest standard of care to patients with urological problems.
The Urology CNC coordinates a number of services within the hospital including trial of voids, urological investigations, intravesical bladder cancer treatment (chemotherapy & immunological therapy) and Nurse Specialist clinics.
Liaising with the multidisciplinary Urology team to facilitate timely patient care to promote a multidisciplinary approach to ensure the delivery of the highest standard of patient care.
Coordinating and delivering care at multiple Urology CNC led clinics, including the trial of void clinic along with the urodynamics and voiding flow rate clinic.
Demonstrating knowledge in urological nursing care to both surgical and non-surgical urology conditions when promoting urological nursing care.
Classifications for this position will be ZJ4 ($113,646 Per Annum, Pro Rata)
Your Contribution Graduate Certificate in Urological and Continence Nursing or Post-graduate Diploma in Urological and Continence Nursing
Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Minimum (5) years post-graduate nursing experience in urological nursing in tertiary hospital setting
Prior experience in managing complex urological-oncology patients
Data management and computer skills including the Microsoft suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Membership of the Australian New Zealand Urology Nurses Society (ANZUNS) which includes Victorian Urological Nursing Society (VUNS) membership.
Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
