The Department of Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Consultant to join their Rehabilitation team at the Mersey Community Hospital.
The Team:The Rehabilitation Service Unit consists of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team dedicated to enhancing patients' functional and cognitive abilities to improve independence and quality of life. We use an individualised patient-centred approach to meet the goals and outcomes mutually identified by the individual, their family, and therapy staff.
The Role:The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) – Rehabilitation will work within an Acute/Primary Health Care Framework, Agency policies, legal requirements, and professional competencies. Responsibilities include:
Providing professional advanced clinical leadership and expertise in the delivery of clinical advice, assessments, and interventions based on best practices in the health care management of patients requiring rehabilitation services.Undertaking a consultative role by maintaining a comprehensive network with community and support groups, developing professional collaborative linkages with other health professionals across the acute and community sectors.Implementing evidence-based practices through teaching, research, policy, and protocol development.Details of Appointment: Fixed term, part-time, day worker position, working up to 48 hours per fortnight, commencing from February 2025 until January 2026. Note: hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 pro rata, per annum, with an 11.5% superannuation contribution on top of this amount.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455 - $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4. In addition, the following allowances may be available:
