An exciting opportunity is currently available for an experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant (Public Health) to join the Wide Bay Public Health Unit Team at the Hervey Bay Hospital within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities.

Eligible Applicants who move to Queensland from an interstate or international jurisdiction to take up permanent or temporary greater than 12 months employment may receive up to $20,000 incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Scheme Your opportunity: To apply specialised nursing knowledge, and provide advanced practice level public health nursing services, to the prevention and control of communicable disease, including immunisation, at a population level in the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service area (covering Fraser Coast, Bundaberg, Childers, Gin Gin, Agnes Water, Miriam Vale, and the North Burnett).Permanent Full Time (76 hours p.f.) or Permanent Part Time Positions (hours negotiable). We encourage applications from First Nations nurses and midwives in line with Health Equity, Growing Deadly Families, and Hospital and Health Plan Strategies. Prior to being made an offer of employment, you will be required to demonstrate immunity to the following Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD): Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (chicken pox) and Pertussis (whooping cough).

Our offer: You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $164,212 p.a., comprising salary between $132,562 - $143,924 p.a. (f/t) or salary between $66.86 - $72.59 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 7) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f., or Permanent Part Time Positions, hours negotiable).
