The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) is a clinical leader, accountable at an advanced practice level for the coordination of patient centred clinical practice specific to the Palliative Care Service. The CNC demonstrates sound knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory and provides clinical leadership, advice and advocacy to a multidisciplinary team and is responsible for the facilitation and provision of quality and cost effective nursing and/or midwifery services which are consistent with contemporary standards, guidelines, relevant legislation and best practice. Prior to being made an offer of employment, you will berequired to demonstrate immunity to the following Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD): Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (chicken pox) and Pertussis (whooping cough).
