Bayside Health Service is looking for multiple Clinical Nurse Consultants to join the team. The purpose of this role is to provide clinical expertise and consultancy through advanced clinical leadership relevant to the specialty of Intensive Care - Outreach. The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) provides direct and indirect care as required and works in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager, Nurse Educator, and wider multidisciplinary healthcare team to support the clinical unit in the provision of safe quality healthcare through exemplary clinical nursing standards of practice for the specialty of Intensive Care - Outreach.
About the Role:
The combined Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / High Dependency Unit (HDU) will be a newly commissioned service that is due to open in early 2025 and will be established under the Clinical Services Capability Framework (CSCF) as a level 4 ICU.The ICU/HDU will provide specialist clinical care to critically ill adult in-patients at Redlands Hospital and will also support ICU Services in the Metro South Health Service area.The Clinical Outreach team will operate out of the ICU on a 24/7 basis and provide specialist clinical care and support for in-hospital resuscitation, patients experiencing clinical deterioration, and provide support to staff within the general hospital precinct.Our values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Engagement, and Excellence shape our culture within Metro South Health.
