About your opportunity: Permanent full-time / Location: Townsville The Clinical Nurse Consultant will participate as a member of the Mental Health Team in providing comprehensive mental health assessment, case management, intervention or group work as required within a multidisciplinary framework.
The position is responsible for ensuring the implementation of individual assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow up, multidisciplinary consultation, liaison with referring agents, discharge planning and evaluation of care using appropriate outcome and data measurement systems.
The role of the Clinical Nurse Consultant is to understand, teach, apply, research and develop the principles of the recovery model in KCCT and facilitate a learning culture within the team including promoting and ensuring clinical nurse research is actively implemented and contributing to quality initiatives for KCCT and its consumers.
All employees of the Mental Health Service Group may be required to work in other areas of the Service.

comprising: Salary range of $5081.10 to $5516.60 p.f.
(Nurse Grade 7) Annual leave with 17.5% loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Role Requirements: Proof of qualification, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
Possession of class C drivers' licence.
Probation period may apply.
