We strongly encourage applicants from key communities including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, LGBTIQA+ people, and people living with disabilities.The Role:As part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality mental health services, the Clinical Nurse Consultant will provide effective management of human and physical resources, and leadership and direction in the strategic development and management of a comprehensive multidisciplinary inpatient mental health team.Contribute to clinical leadership and manage a multidisciplinary mental health team, ensuring high-quality care aligned with service goals and guidelines.Support the relevant NUM/DON by assuming a lead role in the oversight of designated clinical processes associated with the optimal operation of an inpatient mental health team, including intake, crisis response, interim support, case management, and general team coordination.Establish and maintain effective links with broader aspects of Statewide Mental Health Services, Emergency Department, and adult community mental health services.The Team:The Mental Health Inpatient Unit is located in the Royal Hobart Hospital, level 2 and 3K West. MHIU supports adults with serious mental illness across multiple locations, serving southern Tasmania.Details of Appointment:Permanent, full-time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
