The Northern Cancer Service provides comprehensive specialist inpatient and outpatient Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and Clinical Haematology Services to the North and North West Tasmanian community.The Northern Cancer Service also plays an active role in cancer education and research within Tasmania.It is situated in the Launceston General Hospital, Mersey Community Hospital and the North West Regional Hospital complex.The Role:Provide expert clinical advice and clinical leadership regarding melanoma care to acute and community-based patients, family members, carers and staff within a multidisciplinary team.Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external service providers to achieve positive health care outcomes for acute and community-based patients/clients and their families/carers.Report CNC- melanoma activity to MIA as per requirements outlined in the current MIA Funding Agreement.Develop and deliver educational programs which promote melanoma care standards and principles to support the professional development of staff.Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of quality practices, policy and procedure development and research activities to improve the body of nursing and melanoma knowledge.Details of appointment:Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working up to 30.4 hours per fortnight, commencing from 18 November 2024 until 30 June 2026. *Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.Salary:
$111,506 to $118,336 per annum (Pro rata).
