The Clinical Nurse Consultant will provide high-level knowledge and care coordination to enhance access to services and optimise health outcomes to vulnerable young people. The role provides integrated and holistic assessment and management of children with complex health needs.

Vacancy: Fixed Term Temporary full-time, up to 30/06/2026.
Location: Integrated Youth Health Hub, Women's and Children's Service Group, Townsville.
The Integrated Youth Health Hub (IYHH) is a new and exciting Queensland Health led two-year pilot initiative to address the health needs of a high-risk subset of vulnerable young people in contact with the Youth Justice System in Townsville.

Salary range: $132,562 to $143,924 p.a. (Nurse Grade 7)4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading12.75% employer contribution to superannuationCompetitive salary and benefits: We offer attractive remuneration packages, including comprehensive health benefits, professional development opportunities, and generous leave entitlements.Lifestyle and location: Nestled within beautiful North Queensland, the rural, urban, country and coastal locations found within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service region provide vibrant and unique communities, affordable living with stunning landscapes, outdoor adventures, and a relaxed lifestyle.Requirements: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.Nursing: Appointment to this position requires registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.Travel: Please note, from time-to-time this position will be required to travel to, and work at, other facilities located within the Rural Hospitals Service Group network to participate in meetings for planning, quality, performance, training and education, or clinical activities. This may involve day and/or overnight stays. Travel on small planes or ferry may be required.Highly Desirable:Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.Working knowledge of a range of software packages used in the clinical and management environment, including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Access, Matrix, and Power Point.This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.Please refer to the Role Description for further details.
