In supporting the Nurse Manager (Informatics), the Clinical Nurse Consultant (Informatics) provides clinical leadership and clinical engagement of multidisciplinary clinicians and is responsible for the facilitation and provision of safe, quality, and cost-effective care consistent.

Informatics Service includes a wide range of responsibilities ranging from clinical decision support through data analysis and visualisation to clinical documentation improvement and from system design to system implementation/administration and adoption issues.
It has a key role in Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) through a recognised process of improving healthcare records at point of care to improve patient outcomes through quality safe documentation/communication, data quality and accurate acuity activity.
About the role:The Clinical Nurse Consultant (Informatics) is responsible for the facilitation and provision of safe, quality, and cost-effective care consistent with contemporary clinical standards and best practice, principles of Activity Based Management Framework, organisational change – change management guidelines and destination 2030.
Demonstrate critical thinking and reasoning, advanced problem-solving skills and expert clinical judgement.Coordinate, develop, implement, translate, and evaluate clinical practice standard guidelines, procedures and protocols using an evidence-based approach.Exhibit educational leadership and expertise in determining learning needs and mechanisms to foster a culture of learning in the workplace.Participate in innovation and change to develop responses to address emerging service needs.About you:Mandatory qualification/s: Current Registered Nurse/Midwife registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
A relevant postgraduate Diploma or Master's degree is an expectation of this position and/or Clinical Documentation Specialist qualifications/certification.Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: While not mandatory, 12 months or more experience in a clinical documentation specialist role or similar would be well regarded.
What we offer:Salary information: Total remuneration value of up to $164,212 p.a.
