CQ Public Health Unit is a multi-disciplinary team that services CQ with the following experienced staff: Physicians, Public Health Nurses, Environmental Health Officers, Epidemiologists, Data Officers, and Business Services staff.
About the role:Apply specialised Nursing knowledge, and provide advanced Public Health Nursing Services, to the prevention and control of communicable disease, including immunisation, at a population level. This Clinical Nurse Consultant position will act in the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) position in the absence of the NUM.
About you:Mandatory qualification/s: Current registration as a Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is mandatory.Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: While not mandatory, the following would be highly desirable:Post-graduate qualification related to public health or aspects of communicable disease and its control would be well regarded.Appointed as, or prepared to undertake training to be appointed as, a Contact Tracing Officer under the Public Health Act 2005.Endorsement, or prepared to undertake appropriate training to practice as an Immunisation Programs Nurse.Demonstrated ability to apply specialist nursing knowledge in communicable diseases (ie. tuberculosis) to deliver high-quality health care programs specific to the health needs of individuals, groups, and communities.Demonstrated expertise, knowledge, and skills in project planning, implementation, and evaluation.What we offer:Salary information: Total remuneration value of up to $164,212 is comprised of:
