The Metro South Health Voluntary Assisted Dying (MSH VAD) Support Unit is looking for a Clinical Nurse Consultant to join their supportive team.
Delivery of VAD services is codesigned with Metro South Health, Community and Oral Health and the Voluntary Assisted Dying Unit, Queensland Health.
The service forms the central point of contact for staff in Metro South Health who need support and assistance with VAD requests from patients within Metro South Health facilities, and for those who require admission from a non-participating health service for access to VAD services or the administration of the voluntary assisted substance.We are the major public healthcare provider for Brisbane's south side, Logan, Redlands and the Scenic Rim.

We are better together.Join us at Metro South Health and be part of a world-class, dynamic and growing health service that embraces technology, excellence in health care, teaching, research and empowering our people to be the best in serving our community.About the RoleProvide clinical expertise and consultancy through advanced clinical leadership relevant to the speciality of VAD.Demonstrate the ability to provide high quality nursing support for clinicians and other staff in Metro South who require advice regarding VAD processes.Maintain high levels of interpersonal and negotiation skills to inform and train the healthcare team of clinical practice updates and research findings within MSH VAD Support Unit area.Demonstrate high standards of social and nursing support for clients and their families as they navigate VAD processes.Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the social factors impacting on health outcomes and experience in the application of the Principles of Primary Health Care (PHC) to guide the delivery of clinical care.
