Together we can do more.The Substance Use in Pregnancy and Parenting Specialty (SUPPS) Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) is a clinical expert who, through leadership, education, training, and mentoring, facilitates excellence in clinical practice and research and provides expert advice to patients and carers with complex health care needs in relation to substance misuse.The CNC works collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide assessment, treatment, support, crisis intervention, care planning, and evaluation of care in line with the NSW Health Clinical Care Standards: Alcohol and Other Drug Treatment.
