Under the broad direction of the relevant Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), take a lead role in the development and promotion of efficient and effective provision of high quality, accountable and measurable healthcare based on best practice clinical principles to foster a learning and research culture in the clinical environment.
The role: The surgical component of the Short Stay Suite incorporates Day of Surgery Admissions (DOSA), Holding Bay, Same Day Discharge (SDD) and a 19 bed Surgical Ward.
Under the broad direction of the relevant Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), take a lead role in the development and promotion of efficient and effective provision of high quality, accountable and measurable healthcare based on best practice clinical principles to foster a learning and research culture in the clinical environment.
The Clinical Nurse Consultant - Clinical Practice and Standards:
Provides advanced clinical leadership, direction, and change management to facilitate the progression of strategic objectives for the Short Stay Suite through the development and implementation of associated standards of practice, models of care, relevant service policies, procedures, and guidelines. Provides advanced clinical expertise and leadership in patient safety and quality initiatives/activities and programs across the Short Stay Suite and offer specialist advice, information, and consultation to staff to meet statutory, policy and regulatory requirements related to safety and quality including the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies. Salary:$111,506- $ 118,336 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Award Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
