Clinical Nurse Consultant - Charters Towers Rehabilitation Unit Queensland Health (Organisation site ( ) ) Charters Towers Rehabilitation Unit Charters Towers NORTH WEST QUEENSLAND Mental Health Service Group are seeking an experienced, client-focused and outcome driven Clinical Nurse Consultant for a permanent full-time role with CHARTERS TOWERS REHABILITATION UNIT (CTRU). This position provides and oversees direct and indirect nursing care utilising clinical skills, education and support, encompassing purposeful evidenced based practice interventions to consumers, recognising safety of all. A key role is coordinating and supervising the care of all consumers provided by members of both the nursing and the multidisciplinary team. Charters Towers Rehabilitation Unit , is a residential facility that provides extended care, rehabilitation, and dual-disability treatment for people who have long-term residual and complex mental health needs. Eligible Health Workers who move to Queensland from interstate and international jurisdictions to take up permanent employment may receive up to $70,000 in incentive payments under the Queensland Health Attraction Incentive Scheme ( ) The opportunity  The purpose of this role is to provide clinical expertise, education, leadership and support to nursing staff; utilising clinical skills, to provide patients within the unit quality consumer care and the provision of best practice, focusing on recovery offering opportunities to maximise each individual's personal journey in an environment that is accessible, flexible and responsive instilling hope, healing and empowerment for all. Employment Term Permanent full-time Role requirements Mandatory: Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position. Highly Desirable:  Tertiary Qualification relevant to the position or working towards a relevant Qualification. Relevant post-registration and/or tertiary qualifications in mental health nursing. Credentialed status with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN). If not Credentialed with ACMHN a willingness to undertake and complete the requirements for certification as Credentialed Mental Health Nurse. Appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) under the Mental Health Act 2016 or the willingness to undertake and complete the requirements for appointment. Ongoing professional development relevant to the delivery of specialist Mental Health Services (MHSG) to maintain appropriate registration. Successfully undertake MAPA training to the standard required for CTRU. Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty. Generous remuneration package value up to $164,696 p.a.comprising: Salary rates between $5081.10 - $5516.60 p.f.
