About us:The Clinical Nurse (CN) Clinical Trials role is accountable for the coordination of clinical trials within the cancer setting within the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS), in consultation with the Clinical Trials Manager and the Principal Investigator.
The role practices in accordance with the Guidelines for Good Clinical Research Practice (ICH-GCP) and the Australian National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Research Involving Humans and the laws and regulations of the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 as published by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).
In addition, this role will provide support and direction to the Registered Nurse and other non-registered nursing personnel in more complex situations.
About the role:This role offers the opportunity and support for continued acquiring of skills and education.
The nurse in this position works closely with Consultant Senior Medical Officers (SMO's) of the service and relies on support from Clinical Trials services in the Queensland metropolitan areas.
Building relationships is key to the success of this position.
The ability to work autonomously is vital.
Meticulous documentation is essential.
The successful applicant may also be required to provide clinical support in the Day Therapy Unit and Outpatient Clinic areas of the service.
About you:Mandatory qualifications: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Completion of (or evidence of working towards) the eviQ Anticancer Drug Administration Course (ADAC).Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: While not mandatory, experience within Cancer Care and/or clinical trials is desirable.A Post Graduate Qualification in the Cancer Care/clinical trials area would also be desirable.What we offer:Salary information: Total remuneration value of up to $131,900 p.a.
