The Clinical Nurse (CN) Child and Family Health delivers safe, high-quality, person-centred tele-triage and tele-child health clinical care to callers across Queensland.
The CN possesses advanced clinical and problem-solving skills, expert planning and coordination skills in the clinical management of clients with complex care needs, ensuring quality standards are met.
The CN is a clinical expert who works independently and interdependently within the healthcare team structure and is pivotal in the planning, managing, and delivering of specialist tele-triage and child-focused and family-centred nursing care.
The CN provides clinical leadership for professional and clinical practice, education, and research.
The role supports management activities including call monitoring and portfolio responsibilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe, compassionate care, integrating the nursing and midwifery Professional Practice Model, quality frameworks, and Person-Centred Care approaches of caring for each client's psychological, social, emotional, spiritual, and physical care needs.
This supports the achievement of best clinical practice and individualised patient care and outcomes.
Qualifications, registrations and other requirements Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervision/manager prior to the commencement of employment.Whilst not mandatory, a postgraduate qualification in the field of Child and Family Health is highly desirable.Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the service roster (06:30 - 23:00, 7 days a week).There may be a requirement to work across more than one site.
