Clinical Nurse - Cardiac

Community and Oral Health Services are looking for a Clinical Nurse to join their team. This role involves applying advanced clinical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and expert planning and coordination skills to manage the care of cardiac patients with complex needs, ensuring that quality standards are upheld. Operating autonomously within the healthcare team, the CN plays a crucial role in the planning, delivery, and management of specialized cardiac nursing care. Additionally, the CN provides leadership in clinical practice, education, and research, and supports management tasks, including portfolio responsibilities.
About the Role Demonstrate knowledge of social factors impacting on health outcomes and the importance in the application of the Principles of Primary Health Care (PHC) to guide the delivery of clinical care. Displays an ongoing commitment to the acquisition of advanced skills in PHC.Provide expert clinical leadership in patient's/resident's/client's assessment, care planning and practice and role model to and collaborate with the healthcare team.Apply the quality framework by engaging in incident reporting/investigation and conducts quality improvement audits and develops risk minimisation strategy activities to promote safe and/or rectify unsafe practice.Apply change management principles by providing support, guidance, mentoring, preceptorship, role modelling and promotion of cooperation and collaborative teamwork.Our values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Engagement and Excellence, shape our culture within Metro South Health.
