As the Clinical Nurse, you will deliver quality nursing care at an advanced level to consumers within the Adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit. Support other nursing staff while promoting professional standards of practice and conduct by providing leadership and knowledge to Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, and other non-registered nursing personnel.

Multiple positions are availableWe care for people over the age of 18 years who require inpatient care for treatment of mental health issues. The Inpatient Unit is located on the Rockhampton Hospital campus and has 23 beds including 3 High Dependency Unit beds. Work has commenced on the 32-bed new build with an anticipated completion date of mid-2026.
About the role:The Clinical Nurse follows defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe practice and services and workplaces. The Clinical Nurse supports the Nurse Unit Manager and Clinical Nurse Consultant with achieving the unit's goals and standards, while supporting and providing leadership to Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, and other non-registered nursing personnel.
About you:Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation AgencyA relevant qualification in Mental Health Nursing or current credentialing as a Mental Health Nurse through the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses is highly desirable.Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Queensland Mental Health Act 2016 or eligibility to apply for would be well regarded.Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, precept staff and contribute to professional nursing practice with confidence and integrity in the context of a mental health nursing role.What we offer:Salary information: Total remuneration value of up to $131,900 p.a. is comprised of:
