Based within a Psychology team, the successful applicant will have ample opportunity to interact with a range of mental health professionals from both inpatient and community settings across various locations within the SWSLHD mental health service.
Suitable supervision is available from the district's senior clinicians, and other relevant professional development activities are supported.
What You'll be DoingThis position provides specialised and evidence based neuropsychological assessment of patients/consumers with a wide range of disorders/diseases with potential cognitive and/or behavioural implications, for the purpose of assisting with clinical management, determining specific competencies or facilitating discharge planning.
The role also participates in the evaluation of clinical outcomes of services and assists in the development and provision of education and training programs.
Additionally, the role supervises Psychologists and other disciplines working within the LHD according to organizational needs.
