The ideal candidate will provide pivotal clinical leadership by providing preceptorship and mentorship initiatives and fostering a collaborative atmosphere conducive to learning and development within the unit. Effective communication skills, grounded in adult learning principles, will be essential for facilitating individual capability development, ensuring the delivery of safe, compassionate, and high-quality care. The chosen candidate will embrace responsibility and accountability for their clinical practice, engaging in critical reflection, ongoing professional development, and performance evaluation, while actively contributing to the support, teaching, coaching, and growth of fellow healthcare professionals. In close collaboration with management, fellow educators, and clinical midwife consultants, the appointed Clinical Midwifery Educator will play a pivotal role in devising, delivering, and evaluating tailored clinical teaching and educational programs as well as to design and implement clinical education initiatives aimed at fostering best practices, enhancing patient service delivery, and ultimately improving patient outcomes. By leveraging their expertise and experience, the Clinical Midwifery Educator will contribute significantly to the professional growth and excellence of the maternity care team at Campbelltown Hospital. What You'll Be Doing Deliver and evaluate clinical education programs in consultation with Management, Midwifery Educators and Clinical Midwifery Consultants, to support the delivery of clinical best practice, patient service and enhanced patient outcomes. Current Authority to Practice as a Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate.
