How to ApplyTo be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible: Current Authority to practice as a Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and minimum 3 years full-time equivalent postgraduate midwifery experience. Excellent competency and proficiency as a midwife in antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal care, lactation and infant feeding with an understanding of effective escalation and emergency midwifery care. Demonstrated application of professional and ethical boundaries to the delivery of patient care in the context of a multi-disciplinary team. Demonstrated skills in clinical leadership within a healthcare setting with experience supervising registered midwives, new graduate midwives and students Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues. Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team Demonstrated commitment to work and partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait, Islander patients and families and employees to enhance health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
