About this role The Clinical Midwife Manager position provides clinical leadership, effective management and is responsible for standards of nursing practice and monitoring client/patient care in the area of responsibility to ensure safe effective and efficient service provision. The position provides a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care and provision of services to internal and external customers, and provides operational and management support across all areas of service delivery.  To be successful, you will have... Eligible for registration in the category of Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Demonstrated well developed leadership and management skills that influence and progresses clinical care, policy and collaboration. Demonstrated well developed skills and experience in quality improvement and the development of new systems of care. Demonstrated digital capability across clinical systems which contribute to the provision of quality care. In partnership with the multidisciplinary team leads the establishment and maintenance of a culture of patient safety within their area of specialty and contributes to the Service wide initiatives Possession of a current C or C-A Class drivers licence. Eligible nurses and midwives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 in support over 12 months (WA Country Health Service - Country Nursing and Midwifery Incentive Program ). Area Profile WACHS Kimberley is the most northern health region of WACHS. The Kimberley region has approximately 200 Aboriginal communities, over 34 different Aboriginal language groups and 45 percent of the population are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. WACHS Kimberley consists of six hospitals, an inpatient mental health unit, three Community Directorates and a Corporate Office. WACHS Kimberley provides hospital, community health, public health, remote area health, community aged care, and mental health services across the region through a dedicated team of medical, nursing, Aboriginal health, allied health, and support staff.
