$54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
(plus 35% annualised salary)
The 14 beds 3 birth suite unit is composed of a maternity/gynaecology unit, neonatal nursery, Midwifery Group Practice and an Extended Midwifery Service.
A Maternity Unit with women-centred care, reflecting the needs of each woman within a safe and sustainable quality system.
All women have access to evidenced-based, culturally competent maternity care in a range of settings close to where they live.
Appropriately trained and qualified maternity health professionals provide maternity care to women who meet the service capability of Gladstone Hospital.
About the role: The Clinical Midwife Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) is a case loading position that provides an advanced scope of clinical leadership and management within MGP and to the women and newborn unit while contributing to research and the promotion of evidence-based midwifery practice and continuous quality improvement in midwifery care.
About you: Mandatory qualification/s: Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a midwife, and a current annual practicing certificate are mandatory for this position.
A minimum of three (3) years midwifery clinical experience in antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care. Demonstrated ongoing professional development. Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: While not mandatory, a post-basic tertiary qualification relevant to the position or working toward a relevant qualification and/or current competencies in accordance with Queensland Health Midwifery Model of care Clinical Governance Requirements and Rockhampton specific competencies would be highly desirable. What we offer: Salary information: Total remuneration value of up to $131,900 p.a.
