Do you have experience in the Youth out of Home care sector and hold a Masters in psychology or Social work?
This exciting new role will combine your experience in resi youth work and clinical knowledge and experience to ensure that you contribute to the oversight of effective and efficient delivery of clinical operations of allocated programs operated by the organisation.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
You will be Required to have:
Masters level qualification in Psychology or Social Work.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in clinical and practice roles with a focus on Out of Home Care (OOHC), trauma informed practice, complex behaviour support.
Excellent leadership and management skills, with the capacity to translate strategies into operational activities with a clinical lens.
Experience in clinical, risk, and human resource management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with all levels of the organisation.
Ability to understand complex issues, draw conclusions and formulate clinical responses to wide and diverse audiences.
The ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
Intermediate ability to use computer IT systems including the MSOffice programs and other database/workflow programs.
Have and maintain a Provisional or above, jurisdiction Driver License.
Current positive notice in the Working with Children Check which will be linked to the organisation and any other legislatively required personal history screening as required by the organisation at all times and in accordance with any future requirements if legislation changes.
'Suitable' psychological assessment outcome as per South Australian legislation.
Beneficial for you to have:
Demonstrated skills in clinical leadership and clinical supervision.
Demonstrated research experience, including the development of published materials.
Certificate IV Training and Assessment.
Therapeutic Crisis Intervention train-the-trainer certification.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide clinical leadership across the services through the individual supervision of key roles, group facilitation of the clinical meeting and staff meeting (when required) and through clinical practice development strategies as approved by the General Managers.
Support staff to use the applicable Practice Model/s, service guidelines / frameworks, to facilitate clients/carers in achieving their goals as identified in relevant planning documentation developed in line with organisational procedures.
Provide clinical oversight of complex critical and non-critical incidents, ensuring alignment with organisational and legislative requirements with a focus on analysis and clinical formulation, and support the practice development of responsible staff member/s.
Assist to monitor ongoing clinical practice and accreditation requirements, ensuring the programs operate in accordance with relevant legislation, policy and funding body standards.
Leadership and Management
Provide effective leadership and clinical oversight to ensure high quality service delivery, as per the specifications, requirements and performance indicators defined within the service agreement, relevant practice requirements and any other relevant program and / or organisational documentation in order to effectively respond to client needs.
Governance, Quality, Compliance and Risk
Develop and assist in the management of systems to maintain data and statistics to inform service delivery and contribute to accountability for outcomes achieved.
Comply with all ICS policy and procedures.
Produce legible and legally defensible case notes, incident reports (client and staff) and/or other documentation as required by organisational procedures and legislation.
