Are you looking for a role where you can make a difference? The Specialised Residential Care (SRC) program is SYC's therapeutic residential care program for young people aged 0 to 18 who have experienced significant trauma, abuse and neglect. This program provides 24/7 consistent care for young people to effectively develop and foster appropriate life skills and social abilities to support their personal development and increase their connection with the community. As a Clinical Lead, you will play a crucial role in using your clinical expertise and evidence-based therapeutic services to provide an effective delivery of social and psychological assessments, intake and transition supports and provision of therapeutic interventions. This role is offered as permanent full-time based in our Kent Town Head Office, however, you may be required to travel between sites. Day-to-day activities will include: Provide therapeutic interventions, assessment, referral, and consultation services to support children and young people in out of home care.Deliver clinical expertise, supervision, and support to employees regarding ethical and effective ways to address the social, clinical, and wellbeing needs of children and young people.Attend regular case reviews and case conferences whilst modelling professional, ethical, and respectful practices.Contribute to the development and review of service procedures and practices, ensuring that ethical, moral, legal, and contractual best practice standards are achieved.Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all administration tasks such as case notes, collation of data and analysis, and progress reports.About You... In this role, you will have sound interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills and interest in making a positive impact to young people's lives. You will use your time management skills to utilise your experience and knowledge to drive the success of this program while positively impacting our team and creating opportunities for young people to thrive. To be considered for this role, you will also demonstrate: Comprehensive psychosocial assessment skills, including risk assessment.Strong engagement skills and the ability to interact effectively and sensitively with children and young people, families, and other service providers to achieve positive outcomes with clients.High level of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality while committing to the involvement of young people in decision making.Able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of:The fundamentals of reflective practices, and models of supervision.Evidence based therapeutic interventions for working with young people who have experienced complex trauma, abuse, and neglect.Trauma informed practice.Attachment theory.Therapeutic community models and residential care.For this role you will need to: Hold a minimum bachelor's degree qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Psychotherapy or Counselling is essential.Be registered with AHPRA, AASW, PACFA, or ACA.Demonstrate previous work experience in therapeutic service/program with children and/or young people.Possess a current valid Driver's License and willingness to drive.Hold or complete a Working with Children Check, National Police Check and an approved First Aid Certificate (including CPR).Hold and maintain a Safe Environments for Children and Young People Certificate.Be prepared to undergo a Psychological AssessmentBe eligible to work in Australia.Why join Team SYC?
