Benefits:Tax free Salary Packaging up to $15,900 per FBT year;Paid two (2) weeks leave for business closure at end of year, this being subject to attendance KPI.Long Service Leave after 7 years;Accrued Personal Leave paid out on termination;Flexible work environment;Extensive Professional Development opportunities;Internal promotion and career development opportunities;Regular staff appreciation functions;Up to $600 p/a subsidised Health & Wellbeing program.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are encouraged to apply.About the Role:The Clinical Lead reports to and is directly accountable to the Manager Social & Emotional Well Being and is responsible for supporting the delivery of culturally appropriate mental health services to Social and Emotional Wellbeing to clients.The Clinical Lead is responsible for the supervision of the SEWB Pilot Program Team including but not limited to Counsellors and Outreach Workers.The aim of this position is to provide high level clinical advice, support and recommendations concerning the mental health of clients to the SEWB team and (Service Provider) clinic staff.This position is aligned to the ACCHS SEWB Service Model.KEY CLIENT AND STAKEHOLDER RELATIONSHIPSExternal:Liaise and maintain working relationships with a variety of organisations and stakeholder representative groups as required.Develop and maintain good client relationships as required.Internal:Maintains close working relationships with all BGHS employees.Maintains close working relationship and reports to Manager Social Support.About You:To be considered for this position you must have:Tertiary level qualification in Psychology, Mental Health, or equivalent qualification.Demonstrated ability to uphold the principles of cultural safety including an ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.Knowledge of evidence-based and culturally appropriate approaches to mental health, SEWB and AOD issues within Aboriginal communities.Proven experience in clinical assessment and intervention in the areas of mental health and/or AOD.High level knowledge of Australian Aboriginal culture, history, understanding of impact of colonisation and how this history relates to current social, emotional and health issues for Aboriginal communities, families and individuals.Highly developed interpersonal skills including negotiation and consultation skills and the ability to proactively establish and sustain effective stakeholder relationships.Proven well-developed written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.Experience in managing clinical caseload of clients with high and complex needs.Sound knowledge of mental health assessments, risk assessment, safety planning and person-centred planning.Effective organisational and time management skills including the ability to manage competing priorities.Demonstrated analytic and problem-solving skills.Ability to undertake project management to support organisation-wide initiatives that foster social and emotional wellbeing for WA Aboriginal communities.Demonstrated experience in taking a leading role in meetings, committees and forums with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, government departments and agencies, the private sector and the not-for-profit sector.Experience in data collection and case management including, experience in creating and maintaining accurate and up to date case notes.Ability and knowledge on how to make appropriate referrals to relevant mental health and alcohol and other drug services and community programs.Current Working with Children Check or ability to obtain upon appointment.Current and unrestricted Western Australian Drivers Licence.The ability to travel throughout the geographic service area.National Police Clearance.Ability and willingness to work outside normal business hours.
