Be Recruitment is seeking an innovative, forward-thinking Clinical Specialist - Dementia Care & Support .
Acting as the Subject Matter Expert, you'll leverage your experience in guiding staff, leading evidence-based programs, and providing education and coaching to enhance their understanding of dementia, how to interact with individuals affected by it, and implementing tailored interventions across NSW/ACT.
Given the rate of diagnosis; society, not just aged care providers, need to grow our understanding and support of people living with dementia.
We are looking for someone who can bring: Experience: Extensive practical knowledge of clinical and health services with at least 5+ years of aged care nursing experience with a strong background in Dementia and Behaviour Support. Qualifications: Postgraduate qualification in Dementia Behaviour Management and relevant Registered Nurse (RN) AHPRA registration. Coaching and Leadership: You will work closely with Clinical Nurse Consultants and Educators, building strong relationships to implement Models of Care, while providing expert coaching and support to ensure best practices are adopted within the Dementia framework. Data & Policy Review: Lead the evaluation of program outcome data and drive the continuous improvement of policies and practices, ensuring they align with evidence-based approaches for dementia care and behavioral support, as well as the latest research findings. Ability to Travel: Planned travel is required, approximately every few weeks. Cultural Fit: The successful candidate must be passionate, innovative, and excellent at building relationships.
