About headspace headspace are a busy and innovative youth mental health service providing a variety of mental health, medical, sexual and other health related services as well as vocational, functional groups and social services to young people aged 12 to 25 years and their families.
About the Position As the Clinical Lead at headspace, you'll be at the forefront of providing compassionate and effective care to young people and their families experiencing early psychosis. In this role, you'll provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to our committed Early Psychosis Team, ensuring that interventions are not just evidence-based but also tailored to meet the unique developmental needs of our clients.
You will provide direct clinical care to a small caseload of young people who are experiencing or are at risk of experiencing their first episode of psychosis. Additionally, you'll provide line management to a team of dedicated staff, guiding them in delivering exceptional care to our clients and their families.
Working closely with the Program Manager Early Psychosis, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring that our clinical services align with the Australian Early Psychosis Guidelines and the headspace model. Collaboration with the Clinical Director and other stakeholders will be key to maintaining our commitment to evidence-based care.
In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you'll lead quality assurance initiatives such as file auditing and clinical reviews, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within our team. Your dedication to upholding the values of Anglicare NT will ensure that we continue to provide quality services that make a positive impact in our community.
What we are looking for: Approved tertiary qualification (Allied Health) and 5 years' experience in a mental health-related discipline and registration with the relevant regulatory body such as AHPRA or membership of and adherence to professional standards, for example AASW for social workers. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience (minimum 2 years) in providing clinical leadership and supervision within a multi-disciplinary team, including registration as a Board Approved Supervisor (if Psychologist) A passion for youth mental health, in particular working with young Aboriginal people and their families, and keen interest in improving service, access, and cultural safety of primary youth services. Experience working within a headspace service and familiarity with the headspace Early Psychosis program or tertiary mental health service is considered highly desirable.
