About Us: Grampians Animal Health is comprised of our mixed animal veterinary clinic, Cox Street Vets, and our production animal consultancy business and parasitology lab, Livestock Logic. We are a well-known and long-established vet service that is well respected in the community. We are about to embark on an exciting project, building an amazing clinic on our new site in Hamilton. This project will see both our Cox St Vets team and Livestock Logic team united at the one site.
We consist of a large team of vets with a mixture of experience, both full time and part time, large, small, and mixed. We have a strong team of qualified and registered veterinary nurses and trainees and enjoy a 1:2 vet to support staff ratio. Our team prides themselves on working collaboratively, being approachable, and sharing resources and skills.
About the Position: As Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for maintaining our patient care and driving our high clinical standards. You will work closely with the support of our skilled Clinic Coordinator and the Apiam Business Team in the day-to-day running of the clinic. You will be a member of the management team responsible for the professional management of all clinical operations. Clinical operations include managing, training, developing, and supervising veterinary associates, graduates, and nursing staff, as well as being hands-on in the delivery of veterinary services to patients and clients according to Apiam's high standards of care.
Full time positionThis is a "hands-on" clinical role in a team of 6 VeterinariansThe position would suit a mixed or companion animal veterinarian keen to work in a mixed animal environment.Full time position worked as a 4-day week or 5-day week if preferred. We are very open to flexible start/finish times to accommodate family and work-life balance.We treat companion animals as well as sheep and cattle and have the opportunity for pocket pets, wildlife, and equine depending on your interests.Shared afterhours for large animals only until 8.30pm. All calls go through our Vet Triage team which means the nurses take the calls and only ring you if needed and deposit has been taken!Supportive team, both Vets and Nurses. Well-equipped clinic with planning in place for an exciting purpose-built, new build.Be supported in your progression with our Leadership Development Program and the strong supportive network of peers from other industry-leading clinics in Apiam.Assist in mentoring your new and recent graduates with our graduate development program.About You: You have 5+ years' vet experience and have demonstrated mentoring and management capabilities.You are ready to move up into a leadership role and are enthusiastic about leading a team and running your own clinic.You are looking for a modern, well-equipped clinic and the ability to practice medicine to a high standard.You are looking to be part of a great team who you can collaborate on cases but are also excited about mentoring the next generation of vets.Remuneration and Apiam perks: Phone or phone allowance + Laptop+ on call pay and 50% of professional fees+ Relocation assistance providedAs well as benefits valued up to $20,000 to help you manage your work-life balance including:
