Central Adelaide Local Health Network - Royal Adelaide HospitalSalary RN-3 $125,183 -$130,779 p.a.+ superannuation and Salary Sacrifice BenefitsFull-time, permanent positionAbout the role The Clinical Inventory Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) provides oversight of the team who manage the day-to-day processes for the management of equipment, consumables & Imprest products required to support patient care within the Technical Suite.
The role specifically ensures governance of protocols required under SA Health Procurement guidelines for procurement, product contract management; assessment and conduct of product trials, development & maintenance of Consignment Agreements and maintenance of stakeholder relationships with Medical Officers, Nursing Staff and Health Company Representatives.
Essential Requirements/Abilities/Aptitudes/Skills: Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience.Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing/midwifery practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.Demonstrated experience in management and leadership roles.Demonstrated experience in managing projects.Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving conflict resolution and negotiation.Ability to prioritise workload and meet timelines.Ability to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within the healthcare setting.Demonstrated ability in leading and promoting stakeholder engagement strategies.Demonstrated ability in the leadership and facilitation of change management.Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, industrial agreements, standards, codes, ethics and competency standards.Knowledge of Australian National Safety and Quality and Safety Health Service Standards.Desirable Holds post graduate qualification in Nursing or equivalent, which has included research or experience of project management.Strong communication skills – written and verbal.Experience in using nursing/midwifery and organisation management information systems.Experience with quality improvement activities.Experience in evaluating the results of nursing/midwifery research and integrating, where relevant, the results into nursing/midwifery practice.Evidenced experience within the Perioperative Setting.Evidenced Leadership Roles /positions.Knowledge of South Australian Procurement Policy.Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practising certificate.
